Not too many people had heard of the Jonas Brothers before Hannah Montana's recent tour where they performed with her.  The  Jonas Brothers are comprised of Kevin 19,  Joseph 17 and Nicholas, 14.  Their parents are both musicians which meant they grew up in a house where there would be frequent family singalongs while their mother played the piano.

The three Jonas brothers each found their special love of music in a diffferent way.  Kevin who is the oldest at 19 was home sick about 4 years ago.  Bored at home but still sick, he happened to find a self teach guitar book, got hooked on playing guitar and spent the next four days mastering the guitar.  Nicholas, 14 who shares the lead vocals with his brother Joseph 17 basically started singing the same time he began to talk.  He was known to get up in the morning and start singing and he would not finish singing until he went to bed!!  Joseph who is 17, always wanted to be a comedien, but he still had a love of music which makes him the perfect complement to this trio of brothers.

Prior to becoming known as the Jonas Brothers, thesy appeared in commercials for Burger King, Battle Bots, Clorox and Legos.  However, their true love was music and they practiced nightly in their basement to achieve perfection.  They even wrote their own songs.  The Jonas brothers enjoy working and performing with each other as it is a sense of security for them.   Kevin, Joseph and Nicholas claim to get in a triangle when they write a song and end up working it over and over again until they are pleased with the lyrics for the new song.  Joseph sees staying together and performing for many years to come because they are brothers and brothers don't stay mad at each other and they work things out. 

One of the groups first songs, Mandy, was devoted to Mandy a very special girl their mother taught sign language to.  The boys said she was the absolute sweetest girl they ever met and she had a special way of knowing what you were thinking all the time.  Many of the boys' songs come from their own personal experiences of teenage stuff like dating and also about becoming famous at such a young age.

The Jonas Brothers newest tour "The Burning Up Tour," will feature both Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato, a rising Disney star.  They are peforming at venues nationwide during the Summer of 2008.  Get your cheap Jonas Brothers tickets early!
